Privacy Policy for Fact or Fake

Last updated: 10 August 2026

This policy explains what information the Fact or Fake mobile app (com.nusgawybeyiklik.factorfake) handles, and how. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of the app.

The short version. Fact or Fake does not ask you to create an account and does not collect, upload, or sell your personal information. Everything the game needs — your questions, your answers, your level and settings — is stored only on your own device. The one exception is advertising on Android, described below.

1. Who we are

Fact or Fake is published by Nusgawy Beyiklik ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or about your data, contact us at milkteasuper455@gmail.com.

2. Information we do not collect

We want to be explicit about this, because it covers almost everything. We do not collect:

We do not run any analytics, crash-reporting, or user-tracking SDK inside the app, and we do not operate a server that receives your gameplay.

3. Information stored on your device

The game keeps a small local database on your phone so it can remember where you left off. This data never leaves your device, and we have no access to it.

What is storedWhy
The question bank shipped with the app So the game can be played fully offline.
Which questions you have already answered, and whether you answered correctly To build new missions from questions you have not seen yet.
Your level and progress, separately for English and Russian The two languages are separate games with separate ladders.
Your settings — sound on/off, text size, chosen language To keep your preferences between sessions.
Your daily reminder preference and its scheduled time To schedule the local notification described in section 5.

All of this is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data from your device settings. Depending on your own device backup settings (for example iCloud Backup or Android Backup), a copy of this local data may be included in the backups you make of your phone. Those backups are controlled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us.

4. Advertising (Android only)

On Android, Fact or Fake shows an optional rewarded advertisement: if you answer a question incorrectly, you may choose to watch a short ad to get a second chance. Ads are never forced on you — you can always decline and continue playing. The iOS version of the app does not show ads at all.

These ads are delivered by Google AdMob. To serve and measure them, the AdMob SDK may collect and process device-level information such as your advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version, coarse location derived from your IP address, and interactions with the ad (for example whether it was viewed or completed). This information is handled by Google, not by us; we never receive a copy of it, and we cannot link it to any identity.

Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms and the AdMob policies.

5. Notifications

The app can send you one optional daily reminder to play a question. This is a local notification: it is scheduled by the app on your own device, no message is sent through our servers or any third party, and no push token or device identifier is transmitted to us. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's settings, or in your device's notification settings for Fact or Fake.

6. Permissions the app requests

PermissionUsed for
NotificationsShowing the optional daily reminder. Denying it simply means no reminder.
Internet / network state (Android)Loading rewarded ads and checking for app updates. The game itself works offline.
Run at startup (Android)Re-scheduling your daily reminder after the device restarts.

7. Children's privacy

Fact or Fake is a general-audience trivia game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information at all, there is nothing for us to delete; if you are a parent or guardian and are concerned about advertising shown to a child, you can disable ads for that device by limiting ad tracking as described in section 4, or contact us at the address below.

8. App stores and updates

Distribution and updates are handled by Google Play and the Apple App Store. When you download or update the app, those stores process data about the transaction under their own privacy policies. We only receive the aggregate, anonymous statistics that the stores show every developer — such as total install counts — and never information about individual users.

9. Data retention and your rights

Because all gameplay data stays on your device, you are in full control of it: deleting the app, or clearing its storage in your device settings, permanently erases everything the app has saved. We hold no personal data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request. If you live in a region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA and you would like to exercise a right in relation to advertising data, please contact Google as the party that processes it, or write to us and we will help where we can.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app store release notes.
